Game 6: Riverdale Baptist School Defeats Roosevelt High School

DeQuan Abrom‘s 28 points propelled Riverdale Baptist School to a 63-61 victory overRoosevelt High School on Saturday. On a two-pointer from AbromRiverdale Baptist School sealed their victory in the fourth quarter in the second consolation game at the Gonzaga DC Classic.

Riverdale Baptist School achieved a lead early 22-point first quarter, eventually achieving a 38-31 lead by halftime.

Abrom paved the way for Riverdale Baptist School , making 55% (12-for-22) of shots attempted while also sinking 100% (4-for-4) of free throws attempted.

Kenny Wormley notched two three-pointers and scored 13 points total. Two other players also added ten or more points for Riverdale Baptist School Cyril Ogbuagu put up 12 points. Also chipping in for Riverdale Baptist School were Jasper Sterling (4 points), Curtis Williams (2 points), Isaiah Robinson (2 points) and Raine McKeython (2 points).

Senior Anthony Whitney led Theordore Roosevelt’s scoring with 17 points.  Robert Howell had 10 points.

Riverdale Baptist School finished the game with 43 rebounds (22 offensive/21 defensive).
