Game 8: Roman Catholic Defeats Calvert Hall In Second Semi-Final At Gonzaga DC Classic

Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia defeated Calvert Hall from Baltimore in the second semi-final at the DC Classic Saturday evening.

The trio of Manny Taylor, Tony Carr and Gemil Holbrook combined to score 42 points for Roman Catholic.

Roman Catholic lead the game throughout with nine players scoring for the victors.

In spite of a solid performance from Nico Clareth with 13 points, Calvert Hall College High School fell to Roman Catholic High School 75-56. Roman Catholic High School grabbed the lead against Calvert Hall College High School on a two-pointer from Dakquan Davisin the second period and held on.

With 23 fouls over the course of the game, Calvert Hall College High School had an aggressive showing. Clareth maintained a blistering pace for Calvert Hall College High School, scoring nine points in the first period.

Roman Catholic will face Cardinal Hayes in tomorrow’s Championship Game.
