Game 11: Gonzaga Falls To Calvert Hall

Calvert Hall claims 3rd place in the 26th Annual Gonzaga DC Classic for 2014.  In a great showing, Bryant Crawford scored 21 points, but this was not enough as Gonzaga College High School fell to Calvert Hall College High School 75-74. Edwards made a three for Calvert Hall to tie it up and a free throw from Justin GorhamCalvert Hall College High School sealed their victory in the fourth quarter.

With a 26-point first quarter on the strength of a 9-2 run, Gonzaga College High School pulled ahead early, eventually claiming a 38-31 lead by halftime. But this wasn’t enough to overcome Calvert Hall College High School‘s 44 points in the final two quarters of the game.

Great play from the field made Crawford stand out, as he made 44% (8-for-18) of shots attempted as well as 75% (3-for-4) of threes attempted.

Three other players also scored in the double digits for Gonzaga College High SchoolChris Lykes contributed 16 points, Myles Dread added 12 points and Eddie Scott had 10 points. Also helping the effort for Gonzaga College High School were Sam Miller (9 points, 2 blocks), Prentiss Hubb (4 points) and Sean Williams (2 points).

Gonzaga College High School finished the game with 34 rebounds (13 offensive/21 defensive), four blocks and one steal.
