Team Profile

The St.Vincent Pallotti Panthers are looking to have a great 2023-24 season, playing in the tough Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). Head Coach Christopher Douglas is in his first year at Pallotti, after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Gonzaga College High School. Coach Douglas has veteran returners to help lead the team. Last year’s leading scorer Joseph Connelly returns, along with seniors Nzube Etolue and Jerrold Mathis as key starters. Jordan Green, Kemuel Dankyi, Wayne Shields, Drew Parker, and freshman Jaden Dory will have important roles on the team. Pallotti's schedule will be competitive this year. The Panthers will face St. Francis, Mt. St Joseph’s, and Glenelg Country School as part of their challenging MIAA conference schedule. Non-conference tournaments include the Bullis Holiday Tournament (Potomac,Md.) and also the Carolina Classic Invitational (Charleston, S.C.).

School Profile

St. Vincent Pallotti High School in historic Laurel, Md. is a coeducational, Catholic, secondary, college preparatory school in the Archdiocese of Washington. Celebrating 100 years of excellence, Pallotti was founded in 1921 by the Pallottine Sisters. With an enrollment of over 400, we attract students from Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George's counties, as well as Baltimore and the District of Columbia.

Pallotti offers young men and women the best of both worlds. We are large enough to boast a wide-ranging curriculum, cutting edge technology, and a diverse selection of extracurricular activities. We are also small enough that each student is treated as an individual, possessing unique talents and abilities.

An average classroom size of 17 and a 1:10 student to faculty ratio provides students with an engaging academic experience. We offer over 35 honors and advanced placement courses, with specialized four year academic programs that include a visual and performing arts academy, and accelerated science and engineering programs. Over 96% of our graduates continue in higher education upon graduation, with average annual college scholarships of $1.5 million awarded.

We also offer spiritually enriching retreats and service opportunities, and over 25 varsity interscholastic athletic teams and more than 20 extracurricular activities and clubs.
